Lyrics
I’m naked
I’m numb
I’m stupid
I’m staying
And if Cupid’s got a gun, then he’s shootin’
Lights black; heads bang
You’re my drug
We live it
You’re drunk, you need it
Real love, I’ll give it
So we’re bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts
You wasted your times
On my heart
You’ve burned
And if bridges gotta fall, then you’ll fall, too
Doors slam
Lights black
You’re gone
Come back
Stay gone
Stay clean
I need you to need me
So we’re bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts
Now we’re bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts

Commenting on his passing, Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, said: Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. The entire Sony family extends our deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans around the world who loved him.
Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, CEO, Sony Music Entertainment, said: Michael Jackson’s unsurpassed artistry and beloved music brought joy to every corner of the world. We join today with his millions of fans in expressing our profound sadness and we offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. It was a true privilege for all of us in the Sony Music family to work with one of the most talented superstars in the history of music. We will miss him greatly.

To all of us at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, he was also a trusted and passionate partner, who was very proud of our accomplishments. He will be dearly missed. We wish his children and entire family our deepest condolences.
Five of Jacksons solo albums Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous and HIStory, all with Epic Records, a Sony Music label are among the top-sellers of all time. During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No.1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and Thriller as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Awards Artist of the Century Award.
Michael Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5. In the early 1980s, he defined the art form of music video with such ground-breaking videos as Billie Jean, Beat It and the epic Thriller. Jacksons sound, style and dance moves inspired subsequent generations of pop, soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.

because people seem to get uptight about electronic artists sampling other electronic artists, i’ll say it now: yes, this does sample some stabs and hits from Wolfgang Gartner’s work! it also has a lot of hits and stabs by myself though, so hey ;] the point is that he’s an awesome producer and i’m not trying to “rip him off” here or whatever – i love his style and you could consider this an homage! if you think the melody or progression is ripping him off, that’s not the case! the melody and progression are from one of the later ingame tunes in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx game “Deep Blue” (which is a pretty game, i wouldn’t recommend playing it!)
just thought i’d clear that up for everybody! it’s weird how somebody gets props for sampling pop music, but gets attacked for sampling another electronic music artist ;]

DIRECTOR’S CUT
The Matches “What Katie Said” Music Video
directed by Lady Ransom
http://www.ladyransom.com
Lady Ransom was commissioned by The Matches to shoot the video for What Katie Said. The video was shot on January 13th and 14th of 2007. Because of low budget restraints, the post effects were started but never finished by an fx artist who was doing the work for free in his spare time. Unfortunately the visual fx artist committed to the job but could not finish, forcing a huge delay in release. The band in July of 2007 took over the post fx and Lady Ransom hired, Jason Forman to finish their director’s cut. The band has the same exact footage. Our director’s cut was finished mid February of 2008. This video isn’t leaked by any means, it’s sole purpose is to showcase the directors work, as negotiated with the label and the band. Because of the delay in release, and the timing it had with the band’s release of their new album and new music video, they weren’t going to release anything off the old album. The timing was terrible and the delay was extremely unfortunate. With respect of the new album coming out, Lady Ransom in good faith with Epitaph did not make public their Director’s cut until now. We hope however that the Matches fans out there like this video! The Matches are very talented and were great to work with and we wish them all the best luck with their new album. We had a whole crew of people working really hard on this video and for nothing at all, other than to make something fun and creative for everyone to enjoy. So with that said! ENJOY! and please check out our other videos!

“Post hip-hop troubadour RJD2 teamed with dance and media artist Bill Shannon for the ‘Work It Out’ video. Shannon, born with a degenerative hip condition, developed a way to express himself through dance (and even skateboarding) on crutches. Director Joey Garfield took to the streets of New York and captured one continuous shot of Shannon, injecting RJD2 into random roles throughout the video.”
