@negritamira That’s ridiculous. Mariah is not only respected in the US, she’s loved in Asia, Europe, South America, and of course, North America. She has won the most World Music Awards for any artist (Michael Jackson is second). She has a Legend Award as well. Madonna didn’t even win the Chopard Diamond Award (I find that kind of strange, though). Mariah’s career has spanned 2 decades, while Madonna almost 3, of course she has been in the business longer. I rest my case.

Hero, Vision of Love, One Sweet Day, We Belong Together will in time go down as classics. I think the first two already are. I knew about the song Hero years before I found out who sang and wrote it.

Also, does it matter whether Mariah is “fat” or “depressed”? She’s not depressed anymore, that took place almost a decade ago. This proves she’s still a human, despite all her amazing otherworldly talents. Better overweight than look as creepily skinny and unhealthy as Madonna.
