MAking it in the music industry?

I want 2 become a singer. I dont write music. I cant afford studio work but I can do it at home. Can I perform someone elses music? I dont want 2 take the back way and perform as an independent artist.
I mean can I sing other ppl songs on my demo hat I send 2 the record labels.

Wow, you’ve done almost none of the work. People aren’t going to just hand you things on a platter. The music industry already has more than double the people vs. the jobs available, and those people read and write music, know their theory, many also play instruments, and have already started working independently. It’s gonna take work to beat all those people.
Then again, there’s always American Idol.

Not unless you pay them, you have to write and first ask for permission….and then there’s a fee to pay !!!!!!!!
