I enjoy a few songs from Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, as well as Taylor Swift. I don’t enjoy rap music much, or really stupid electro-pop music (such as LMFAO and Ke$ha) I don’t like too much country music either, just some of it. If you can recommend some other artists to me, that would be excellent. 10 points for best answer!

i have been writing music for 5 years now and my friends see potential in me but do i need to have like experience in this field? if so how would i get this experience? i would like to write music under a music label such as Interscope or Cherrytree. how would i apply for a job as a song writer?

Well first you’ll probably have to go to college and get a degree in songwriting. Assuming you already have a degree, I’d contact a recording label you would like to work for. Usually you can get an internship and work your way up from there.

Reverbnation.com is a good site to find local artists of any genre…i just made my band one and its extremely easy to find and contact artists in your area…i would recommend making an account because i dont know if it gives you the option to search genre and local/global without an account…works great though and its easy to make an account…and its free also.
