Does anyone have figures on how much money a touring music artist makes per night in clothing sales at a concert?

They themselves dont get much from merchandise, but the company who sells them does

i want to know what music artist do when they first arrive in a city, like do they go straight to the concert or do they go check in to a hotel. And i also want to know what happens backstage at concerts, do artist just chill with other artist and wait to go on stage, or do they just sign autographs. And after the concert do they leave to go to another city or do they stay in town for a couple of days. And do most music artist fly to shows or drive to them. I want to know this because i want to become a manager

Mmmm

Who are your ultimate favorite music artist?

I have more than one, but one artist that stands out is Eminem. He puts his whole life story into his music which i think is a beautiful thing, and he comes up with the best lyrics for his songs and they all make sense.

Nas and Biggie Smalls

How do i become a music artist?

Im 15 and i love music and have messed around with some music making apps on ipod And i think i could make a decent track. I dont mean a music artist like a singer or anything. I mean a person like David Guetta or DJ Fresh or even a person who makes backing for singers. Its not like im relying on this as im doing well at school i just think it would be my dream job making music for a living. How could i achive this?

I was a DJ back in the nineties, and was the first female DJ in my city…I’d say work in some clubs, start out like that, then try to get exposure..or you could always look up how the DJs you mentioned became successful. Good luck :)

What country music artist/songwriter/musician who was born in Texas do you consider to be the most influential?

Posted by admin on August 15th, 2011 and filed under music artist | 6 Comments »

in country music as a whole – from the beginning of C & W music to today? Doesn’t have to be an artist only. Can be a songwriter. Can be a musician.
Check the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame list of inductees for possible suggestions. There’s no right or wrong answer here.
Great answers so far! Anyone on the Cindy Walker bandwagon? How about Lefty Frizzell?

Being a traditional country music fan I love Texas music, most of the good country music around today is coming from Texan artists, the most popular, influential and highly respected artist has got to be Gene Watson, he is still recording with top artists like Rhonda Vincent, Vince Gill, Trace Adkins etc. and selling out venues across the world.

How many other artists could have the cream of country music on their feet after a performance like this:

What should I put in a gift basket for a country music artist?

Posted by admin on August 13th, 2011 and filed under music artist | 2 Comments »

I am making a gift basket for a country music artist. I need ideas of what to put inside as well as unique ideas for the basket itself. Last year, instead of using a basket, we used an old feed sack with a rope handle. Need ideas for what to do now…

Well, it depends if the country music artist is a boy or if it’s a girl.

Boy:
Rope
Cowboy Hat
A picture of a microphone or a real microphone
Maybe something homemade
A letter saying how much you love their music
A CD of their music that you made or bought

Girl:
Fun girly things like lotions, loofahs, lip glosses
A cowgirl hat
A microphone
A mix CD
A letter
A picture
A creative poster or card
Like with easter baskets, you know the weird grasslike stuff they fill the basket with? Use hay or something of that nature.

There are so many things you can do but these are just a few things I thought of. :D

why dose it take some music artist so long to release an album?

Posted by admin on May 12th, 2011 and filed under music artist | 5 Comments »

All music artist that are out for the spotlight and have been for years all claim that they are working on there new album but years pass and no one hears of this album. A music band that i Support have been saying there working on there new album and it’s been 3 years and they still saying the same thing. Why does it take so long ? If not why do artist lie about working on new albums ? What do artist do when there not making new music ?

Most musicians make hundreds of songs but only release a few on albums. The rest just don’t make "the cut". Many record companies will approve or reject songs, demand edits to make things more "radio friendly" or can cause red tape to get in the way of new albums coming out. Putting it all together, it is not easy to get a new album out.

Touring, doing music videos, public appearances, being with family, and trying to have a life are all take up large chunks of their time, which also can slow down an album as well. Having children is especially disastrous as raising children will take up decades, causing touring and music creation to grind to a standstill.

What are some questions to ask a music artist for their bio?

Posted by admin on April 25th, 2011 and filed under music artist | 1 Comment »

I am setting up an interview with a rap artist tonight and need some itemized questions to ask her in regards to creating a music bio for her. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can start this bio interview?

What training has she had
where has she performed
what has she been paid for performing
does she write her own material – always/sometimes/never

Who is the most popular Christian music artist in the USA?

By Christian, I mean an artist who’s affiliated with the Christian music scene, not someone who is or claims to be Christian.

I would have to go with Casting Crowns, they have the best music. I also love Kutless, a christain rock band
