I’ve been asked to do a write up for two biography’s of some music artist and a write up for the record label. I’m new to this so I am not sure what I should ask for. I am not new to writing–I write a weekly blog for language and language education. They’re read my work and like my writing style and our confident I can do the job, so what should I ask for?

I found this (and tons of other good results) by googling, "How much should I charge"
I once translated and was told to charge either $20-30 per hour or per page, can’t remember which…
Good Luck!
im a 15 yr old music artist, there are alot of young music artists out there, how can i stand out and be unique?
Do you mean singing or playing an instrument? You have to be better than most people to stand out, and even then you have a lot of competition. The hardest part is getting the right person to hear you; someone who could help you get publicity. So far I have not been able to do that.

The best selling musical artists of all time is topped by 1. The Beatles, 2. Elvis Presley, 3. Michael Jackson. The list goes on and they all sang in English. Who is the world’s top selling non-English music artist? What language did he or she sing in?
Shakira, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan have all outsold Vicente Fernandez.
Vincente Fernandez – Spanish language
I want to be a music artist for Rock/Metal/Rap all together, but i have bad memory for lyrics, i know how some real artist use a note pad with lyrics in the studio, which is what i would have to do. I want to just be a studio artist without getting offers to go on stage. Would i have to avoid signing and use my own equipment to record albums? Or is there a company i could sign with that would allow me to stay in the recording studios?
make your own home studio, from what I’ve read they’re pretty well affordable now, then whatever you make you can sell on itunes I guess. This isn’t a way to make a living doing music though, artists that live off music have to tour all year round.
I know some people who know one or two songs from an established artist, but yet they are their favorite artist. Obviously it is different if they only have one or two songs out.
I consider myself a fan of an artist when I like at least three to five of their songs.
I can like an artist, but I don’t consider them my absolute favorite until I know more songs.
What about you?
BQ: Who is your favorite music artist?
BBQ: What is your favorite song?

BQ:Ritchie Blackmore
Not who you LIKE THE BEST!
But who do you think is the biggest music artist right now and why. Make a list if you can’t pick just one.
I’d say Lady Gaga, Rihana or however you spell her name, Justin Bieber, Usher, Matt Cardle cause he out-sold all top five artists put together for xmas number 1, and Katy Perry. But I actually don’t like them. Marina and the Diamonds is by far the best artist that has ever lived. <3
This question is inspired by the recent deaths of well known people.
RIP Amy Winehouse,Nate Dogg,Heavy D and everyone else who passed away this year.

When a music artist makes an album with all the songs released do they make other songs just on their own or is it if you want to hear them make new songs you have to wait for their new album to come out?
Well, what isawmarty said is pretty much right.
Also sometimes artist release random singles. Taylor swift does that a lot… Reba did it with "I’m Gonna Take That Mountain."
However, since cassette tapes and CDs became the mainstream distribution method for music, you are most likely going to end up waiting a yew or two between each 10-20 track album from your average artist.
How come there are no successful chinese music artist in hollywood or in the american music industry.???
What i mean is how come there are no chinese artist on the same chart as like jay-z , beyonce , usher , etc etc ?
is it a rule or are they being racsist whats going on???
IMO there are some but they don’t get very far..Chinese music artists probably sell better to the asian community as well instead of hollywood or america.
There’s no rule..but these artists haven’t really tried and probably gave up and turned to the asian music industry to progress their career.
