There was a music video on MTV late at night a few years ago where this kid was tripping out and his fish started rapping. Does anyone know what it was, I can’t remember the words or anything but it’s been driving me crazy! Please help!

Back in the early to mid 80s, MTV was known as Music Television. There was no Real World, no Laguna Beach and no TRL. It was all about JJ Jackson,"I Want My MTV" and Duran Duran. So the question is who is your favorite early MTV artist from 1981-1985? If you want more early MTV stuff,go to groups.yahoo.com/group/Early_MTV_Years
Great question! I was born in 1981 so I did see the way MTV slowly deteriorated over the years. Do they even play music at ALL anymore?
Favorites from that time period…
U2 (well, at any time, but they were around in the early to mid 80s too!)
Duran Duran
The Police
Cyndi Lauper
Flock of Seagulls
Madonna
Huey Lewis and the News
A-ha
The Cars
I could probably go on and on!
"MTV" needs to sell their name to a company who will actually play MUSIC and rename themselves "useless dribble tv"!
They started “rape me” just to make MTV mad. jajajaja

There is a "popular" guy who helps a "geeky" guy become popular by association and in return the "popular" guy gets tutored. Then later in the video they are all at a party on the beach and the guys end up kissing. If anyone could tell me the name of this song and/or the artist I would really appreciate it.
no clue
It’s a very new dance track with one woman playing a saxaphone and wearing a very skimpy marching band outfit – enough said ![]()

MTVs Video Music Awards have often incorporated dark and strange acts, containing some occult symbolism. This years version, however, outdid itself. The show left most people wondering what was wrong with Kanye West or trying compute the madness of Lady Gagas performance. The only way to understand the full meaning behind those performances is to look into esoteric teachings. The fact is that the whole awards show took the most common rituals of occult orders and re-enacted them in a show witnessed by the entire world.
This years VMAs were very different from other awards shows. They focused on a very limited number of artists (Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga), while ignoring many others who were equally successful. The chosen artists became characters in the VMAs ceremony and acted out different ritual dramas. This might sound totally crazy to the average MTV viewer but those acquainted with the practices of occult orders (such as Freemasonry) can decode the references to sacred rituals. There are numerous types of fraternities and rituals, from the most noble to the most infernal, and they have existed throughout History. The VMAs were decisively inspired by dark, sinister and even Satanic ceremonies. Lets look at those rituals.

Here is an example: I just saw Making the band, the girl group. and they are sooo excited, going to loud clubs, never in that show do we see any shots of Diddy explaining to them about taking care of their ears. All these MTV shows make it seem like loud is better and never teach about the consequences.
-Bunch of crazy teens go to concerts and don’t seem to care, i see this over and over in Mtv or other music channels
-Musicians who have concerts don’t ever wait for people to make sure they have ear protection on before they start the loud noise. They should make it mandatory and wait a few minutes and provide ear protection.
I’m a person with hyperacusis and tinnitus, and have to endure pain all the time.. got it from one single incident of loud music from my yamaha keyboard. I can’t believe nobody is informed or cares about this Specially the music industry doesn’t want to inform people and that’s just bull s***
The "music industry" is as aware as anyone about ear damage; every band my sister represents wear ear protection without fail at every concert; every concert my sister needs to attend, even though she is backstage, she wears ear protection.
So, why are bands so loud…? Heck, I don’t know, probably for the same reason that movies are so loud, or that TV ads are so loud: people seem to like it that way.
But, me…? I’m cramming those protectors into my ears.
