what are some good indie music artists?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under indie music artist | 3 Comments »

that sound like..
rachael yamagata
regina spektor
imogen heap
& so on……..

Well… it seems to me that a good indie music artist is in the ear of the beholder, I see that you have a certain indie defined preference, however, being indie doesn’t mean being the same, but I would definetly recomend, Lhasa de Sela.

And also The Gits

I need music, and artists, (indie, trip-hop..)?

Posted by admin on March 28th, 2010 and filed under indie music artist | 2 Comments »

I’m tired of my itunes lately. I have 1,163 songs and I feel like I’ve over listened everything.

the last songs I’ve been listening to were by Sam Sparro and Air.
if you like the indie music, the british trip-hop, or maybe things even like Amy Winehouse, The KIlls, and the Ting Tings, please leave some suggestions of some songs I might like that I haven’t heard of.

I’m really open minded about music so leave some suggestions.
even a myspace music link would be great too.

please nothing repeated on the radio,
that stuff pisses me off.

some Trip Hop artists and songs I like (though they’re not all british):
Tricky (Overcome, Hell Is Round The Corner), Massive Attack (Black Milk, Dissolved Girl)), Portishead(Pedestal, Half Day Closing) , Sneaker Pimps (Spin Spin Sugar, Becoming X) , Morcheeba (Trigger Hippie, Tape Loop), Baby Fox (Dum Dum Baby, Zodiac), Archive (Londinium, Nothing Else), Lovage (Lifeboat, Catch A Thief) Ruby (Flippin’ Tha Bird, Paraffin), DJ Krush (Alethevo, With Grace) Waldeck (Floater, Tears Running Dry), A Guy Called Gerald (Humanity, Multiplies), Statik Sound System (Wrap, Just A Thing), Toxic Lounge (Clench, When Sorrows Came), Sin (Heartbeat, Too Many Faces)

Does that question sound weird? anyways…

I want something fresh, and pretty. I like guitar and piano ballads, especially acoustic.
My favorite alternative/Indie artists are:
Death Cab For Cutie
The Postal Service
Landon Pigg
Greg Laswell
Damien Rice (yes I count him as indie)

Cool Iranian band I found on YouTube called Hypernova. They sing in English. Check out "Fairy Tales".
